PLASTICINE PORTRAITS

In Art this term, we did a project based on the work of Canadian Illustrator Barbara Reid. Barbara
Reid is an artist who illustrates children’s books with plasticine instead of traditional paint or     colored pencils.

The 6th grade students worked in pairs to create plasticine portraits of their partner. On this table you see the work of both classrooms, 6A and 6B.  It is not easy! The children worked very hard and needed a lot of patience to complete the hair and details of each person´s face. Great Work 6A and 6B!

About the Artist

Barbara Reid is the author and illustrator of more than a dozen picture books, and the illustrator of
over twenty five. Her books have been published in Canada, The USA, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Finland, Norway, China, Denmark, Germany, Brazil, Korea and Thailand and translated into at least eight languages.
