Happy Thanksgiving! In the United States, Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. It is a day set aside to be thankful for the good things in our lives. In the United States people customarily eat turkey on Thanksgiving, and the turkey has become a symbol for the holiday. The 5th and 6th grade classes at CEIP Chans-Bembrive made turkeys by tracing their hands. They then wrote "I'm thankful for..." and listed eight things that they were grateful for. This activity encouraged them to be creative, to practice some English vocabulary, and to reflect on the things that they are thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!
