Pablo Picasso - Cubism
This trimester we studied Pablo Picasso with the 4th grade students. The students learned about the life of the artist, his rose and blue periods, and some of his most important works including, The Young Ladies of Avignon and Guernica. The students learned that cubism consists of geometrical shapes, bright colors, and portraits that are not realistic. The students made their own cubism portraits by working in groups and combining the pictures of all four students to create a combined cubist portrait. We also made our own version of Picasso´s famous Guernica. Great work 4th Grade!
